for the record, i'm super pissed about solitude's expansion plan (and alta's).

we can't let them keep expanding or there will be ZERO backcountry left for those who can't afford an $80 lift ticket.

I concur. Silverfork has been my sidecountry playground for over a decade. It does not need a lift. Solitude can't even fill up the lifts they've got.

I think they're a little gun shy after that girl died in an in bounds slide last season. My buddy who was up there on Saturday said it was ridiculously crowded.

Yeah Midgad is pretty wierd. I guess baby thunder is under the tiger tail slidepath, but it would have to go HUGE to hit that lift.

For sure. If you lived in Hawaii you'd go to the beach. The mountains are Utah's beach. Fun, sun, snow, and beer. What could be a better way to spend the day. When you're done you can even go hit the hot tub at the cliff spa. It's only $10 with a Utah I.D.

the (dark series) power banana is a monster on the grooms, and it excels off-piste. has a lot of pop and stability. think i might get one

We should go splittin sometime soon. Sunday was only my second day out this year on the split. I quickly realized that I'm bored with resort riding right now. Things are sliding right now, but, if you choose your slopes safely there is a lot of good stuff to ride right now.

Got some cross country skis with fancy pants carbon fiber boots at almost cost. Very excited.
