I just got two Seagate 750 GB HDDs (3-year warranty/each) for $70.00.

I got comcast cable with the hd package and the HDDVR with the phone and high speed internet for 90 bucks a month locked in for 2 years. for comcast I think that's pretty good, although to be honest I prefer DirectTV. But comcast internet kicks qwest to the curb.

I also bought a 2002 PT cruiser that needed minimal repairs for $2800

2 years? wtf? i have hd, dvr, and internet and i'm @ $150 a month. I am actually going to TV through the internet permanently starting this week.

I just bought "The Stuff of Thought" hardback for six bucks, and a book by Ray Kurzweil on living forever for $3.00, new. You might laugh, but when I live forever I'm totally going to say "told you so."

I recommend doing it yourself. It's not as hard as you'd think. All you need is the deck, a wire harness ($8 at Walmart), and a dash kit ($12 online, or $20-$30 from Car Concepts, etc.). If you buy your deck from Crutchfield, I think they'll include everything you need and detailed instructions on how to do it all. Spend some time doing the wire harness the night before, and the whole install should take about 1-2 hours max.

If you don't want to do it yourself, I hear rumors that JohnnyD has some wicked install skills. If you buy from any reputable local store, they'll usually throw in free installation (plus harness + dash kit + "shop fee"). I also know some guys who do it locally, but I think they charge around $50 or so for labor.

I'd offer to do it myself, but I'm really low on time these days. If you need tips/help/etc I'd be happy to provide support!

Got a laptop at a pawn shop for 300 bucks. pretty sweet for the price, mostly just to stream video on and internet, but with this I can also finally get back to doing graphics and job hunt more comfortably.

Toshiba, 3 gig Ram, 250 gig HDD, big ass 17 inch screen (or somewhere around there) about a year old give or take a few months, excellent condition.
