Damn that's bad for bizzzness but to me it was a fucking interoffice joke and I could care less about it. Now They probably shoulda thought about the fact that they are behemoth media company losing millions fast and any more slip ups could sink their ship... in other news I had Fried Chicken, grits and Watermelon on Martin Lurther King day at a party held by a black guy. semi-Educated well adjusted peeps can joke about shiz among friends.

Read back to my original post: "Show your hand to give Dems a superficial reason to avoid discussing..." Dems can use something so superficial as scribbles on a palm to avoid talking about anything that might matter, or might embarrass themselves.
No one on TRS even commented on Harry Reid's racist comment, the leader of the Democratic Senate. I remember during the Trent Lott scandal peeps here on TRS, and Dems everywhere, were freaking out. Now, nothing. No one here commented on Biden calling Obama "clean and articulate for a black man". No one commented on Bill Clinton saying Obama should be serving coffee. These are the highest leaders of your party.
Just 2 years ago leftiest couldn't stop talking about how horrible the wars were and how Obama, an open critic of the wars and someone who wanted to "bring troops home now" in 2005, was campaigning to bring them to an end, not escalate them. Now that he's in office no one says a thing.
Just 2 years ago Bush's deficit was what was going to bring down our nation. Now, a year after Obama's election, the deficit is nearly doubled Bush's high, and our national debt ceiling has been increased twice by a Democratically lead Congress. Now it's the right thing to do.
We had to pass the Stimulus bill RIGHT NOW or we're going to lose jobs. Job loses nearly doubled since that point and the money is now a slush fund.
Healthcare Reform: Closed door deals and exemptions to Unions who support Obama. The $100-million Louisiana Purchase. The Kansas medicare bribe... all from the most transparent Congress who is ready to bring an end to the "culture of corruption".
Economy: Fail

Glad to know the rules on who has earned the right to be racist. |
You know it is the Race obsessed person whether they outwardly state racist remarks that is suspect of irrational concepts on race most to me. The Glen Beck style O'Rielly types who drive the car around racist alley so much you think they may actually own a condo in the neighborhood. I know exactly where I stand on Race, Gender and Sexuality. For example I dont let 18 nucleotides out of millions decide who a person is or how they should be treated. I dont let where and what someone does with their genitals affect in the slightest how I treat them. But in any case in true Brodie fashion you're not really adding to the debate if there ever was any. Race always pulls the heart strings so it is a great rhetorical tool on the bromides running around but give TRS some more credit than that.
As for Palin's hand I think it was actually a digital display screen running down functions and how much fuel was left in her tanks as She is without a doubt a Human Impersonator.

hmm... I think it's probably because you're a stubborn dimwit with a tenuous grasp on ethics and critical thinking, not to mention english grammar. but maybe it's just TRS....
the only reason I can imagine a person might defend Palin's child-like understanding of the world is so that she can serve as a talking puppet to persuade those of even lower intelligence. maybe if you're confident that once in a position of power she won't actually get to touch the controls, you might consider embracing her as effective means to spread your filthy doctrine. but that's probably giving you way too much credit. you probably think she makes some good points on "lifting american spirits"

i still dont get what NBC serving fried chicken (which is delicious by the way, and Im not even black) has to do with any of this.
im not even disputing anything you wrote. just trying to make the correlation. I dont even think palin writing on her hand is that big of deal. I can make fun of, and hate for far better reasons than that.
harry reid said this right?
"He [Reid] was wowed by Obama's oratorical gifts and believed that the country was ready to embrace a black presidential candidate, especially one such as Obama -- a 'light-skinned' African American 'with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one,' " Halperin and Heilemann say. seriously worded wrong I agree. but he apologized to obama. and so did Biden. so there you go. i dont know man.
I do agree our debt is ridiculous, but read that McCain wouldve done the same thing, so the lesser of two evils...
bush helped pass that stimulus bill too buddy

Jesus, this thread got crazy.
Look, if you paid someone $100k to come give a speech at some convention for you, and they show up with notes on their hand, wouldn't you be a little bit mad that this person obviously put so little thought and care into their speech as to write basic notes on their hand?
This is the equivalent of showing up to a major job interview with these words on your hand:
Myself
Old Jobs
What you can do for the company
Of course, we can't exactly hold politicians up to the same standards we do ourselves...

I think palin is a stupid bitch as much as the next guy, but who cares if she wrote on her hand? Seriously, why are we even talking about it? Trust me, she does plenty of stupid shit, but this ain't it.

I believe we were talking about the irony of the notes on her hand while delivering a speech which criticizes Obama for using a teleprompter.
Why post just to say something isn't worth talking about? Isn't that self-defeating?

isn't it like making a joke of a joke...isn't it redundant to make fun of palin.
i'd like to believe the white house is above silly jabs at someone who's relevance is questionable. looks they really are threatened by her and the press/attention she gets.

Anything the Obama administration can do to take attention off their lousy performance has got to be positive, even if it trivializes them.
